MOVING IN

1. You will need to provide your own lock

2. You will be responsible for safely clearing snow and ice directly in front of your storage unit. If you are not capable, find someone who is to help.  Dirt and sand can work it’s way between the door seam bottom. It is recommended that you sweep this periodically and sweep/wipe the rubber gasket on the door bottom to keep it free of debris and make a good seal. You can use a product meant for rubber like Armour All to reduce the chance of the gasket freezing at the bottom during extreme winter weather. CDSS cannot access locked units to do this.  CDSS will maintain clearing snow from the main driveway as quickly as possible, maintaining safety standards.

4. CDSS strongly recommends storing items in plastic bins with covers when possible. We also recommend storing irreplaceable documents or images at home. If they need to be stored in the storage unit, place inside a ziplock bag for protection against moisture and insects.

5. Please view our Storage Tips” page on our website before loading in.

Thank you!
